Prisoner Bible Praise Report

Our Youth Group helped mark passages of 100 Bibles for prisoners over two years ago (before Covid).  We did this so that Chaplain Arthur Stevens, PSD Coordinator Prison Ministry could use the Bible to share God’s Word with prisoners.  We just found out that the case of Bibles ended up at the Tucson Federal Prison in Arizona. They haven't had any contact with outside ministry in two and half years and Chaplain Stevens  was able recently to preach there taking the Bibles for distribution.  Praise the Lord!  Please pray that God would use those Bibles mightily in those prisoners' lives.  If you are interested in helping in the future with this ministry, please see DCE Noël for more info.

SAVE THE DATE!!!  2023 Summer Service Trip to Nevada is June 25-30, 2023

We will again serve Christ Lutheran Church in Boulder City, NV.  We put on a 4 day Vacation Bible School for their community.  They were very excited to have our help as they do not have the people-power to do it on their own. This trip is for all current Middle and High School Students.  Here is a photo from our trip in 2021:

**Confirmation (Grades 6-8th)

Confirmation is a public rite of the Church preceded by a two year period of instruction designed to help baptized Christians identify with the life and mission of the Christian community. Note: Prior to admission to the Holy Communion, it is necessary to be instructed in the Christian faith (1 Cor. 11:28). The rite of confirmation provides an opportunity for the individual Christian, relying on God's promise given in Holy Baptism, to make a personal public confession of the faith and a lifelong pledge of fidelity to Christ.  (An Explanation of Luther's Small Catechism)

Our program involves parents in the process.  Martin Luther wrote the Small Catechism as a way for “the head of the family should teach them in a simple way to his household.”  We as the church would like to partner with families to teach the basics of Christianity.   We do this through engaging curriculum, music, games, skits, homework and memorization.  We look at Confirmation as a stepping stone in a child’s faith walk and not a graduation to get through.  If you would like more info on Confirmation, please contact our Director of Christian Education (DCE) Noël Fairchild at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

**Confirmation Sunday will be April 2, 2023.
